What I Have Learned

This LB unit was a very fun unit for me. We learned a lot about blogging and commenting. We posted all kinds of different posts, starting from information, comparison, pictures, movie and book reviews, tips and tricks, and a lot of other things. But we didn't only learn about how to post, we learnt so many things.

First of all, we learnt about online safety. We must monitor our blogs to make sure that no one is commenting bad things to us or planning to do bad things to us or to our blog. And to make sure of this, we must also be aware of what kind of information we can post online. For example, it's fine for you to tell people about what you thought about that book you read yesterday, but you should not tell people your phone number, or your address. You wouldn't want people to come in front of your door telling you that they're your online friend coming for a visit, and then have all your stuff stolen by your "online friend", now, do you?

Another thing I've learned is that we can share a lot of things when we want to blog, such as medias (photos, files, videos, music), opinions, tips and tricks, ideas, news, information, and much more. This way, people can read our post and they might gain inspiration, or new knowledge, and sharing knowledge to others is a good thing, isn't it?

The next thing I learned was how to be creative. When you want to post something, make sure that you're using a language that is suitable for the age of the readers you are writing for to make sure that they will understand easily. Also, if you would like to make your post more interesting, then you can add pictures or links to related videos. Remember: it's good if you write about things you like, but you can't write about the same things on and on, you need to have a diversity in your blog. For example, you can write about planets, but make sure that not all your posts are about planets. Maybe you'd like to write about the movie that's about to come out next week, or tips and tricks you discovered on your own. You can also change your template once in a while, just to freshen up your blog.

Be active as a blogger, which means that don't suddenly disappear into nothingness and leave your blog's followers hanging! Be sure to keep your blog fresh by changing the templates, posting something, or reading and commenting on others' blogs! This way, you'll gain information or many interesting knowledge from other bloggers and other posts, and create interaction and connection with others!

Being a blogger has been quite a fun experience for me. I think my blog was diverse enough, the content in each posts are talking about different topics. I also have downloaded templates I like from other websites and applied it on my blog. However, I still need to improve a lot. I think I need to be more active in posting and commenting. I haven't commented on too many blogs as of yet, and I haven't been reading the new posts that come into my reading list. So, I think I need to improve on this. I also think I need to write less and know when to stop writing (like in this post, for example, it's really long). I need to adjust my blog's language as well.
