Miracle of Endymion~

Hi everyone! I'm currently watching this anime movie that came out in February 2013, but since I don't live in Japan, I couldn't watch it then, so I waited until it was uploaded online a few days ago. The movie is called The Miracle of Endymion. This movie is set in Academy City, a city where people have 'abilities' that can be scientifically explained. In the beginning, the movie explains that Academy City has nearly completed their plan to build an elevator to space. The two main characters, Touma and Index, met a soon-to-debut singer called Arisa. They spent time with her in the afternoon until night, and suddenly, a magician called Stiyl and his three apprentices attacked them. Reinforcements from Academy City came, and the magicians retreated. Just before they retreated, Stiyl said to Touma, "That girl could likely cause a war between the magic side and the science side." What does Stiyl mean? What connection does Arisa have with Endymion Space Elevator? I can't tell you, I haven't finished watching the movie.
